Jocelyn Benson Kicks Off “Road to Trifecta” Tour in West Michigan

Yesterday, Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson kicked off her “Road to Trifecta” tour with events across West Michigan featuring Rebecca Amidon and Joseph McClusky, two battleground candidates for Michigan’s State Legislature.

The tour is taking Jocelyn across Michigan, to campaign alongside candidates in battleground state legislative districts ahead of the August primary and build a governing trifecta that can deliver for Michigan families starting on Day One. Michigan needs a governor who can hit the ground running on Day One to lower costs, raise wages, and protect Michiganders — and Jocelyn is the only candidate in this race with a plan to get it done.

“We recognize our opportunity in this moment, not just to win our trifecta back, but to get things done for the people of Michigan: driving down costs, growing our economy, standing up to corruption in all of its forms, and protecting the people of Michigan,” said Secretary Benson during the event in Muskegon. “The people of Michigan deserve to be able to afford health care, and afford housing. The people of Muskegon need to see this economy grow and see wages go up. I'm going to be committed to bringing that change with this great collection of leaders right here in Muskegon.”

Jocelyn started the day in Muskegon, hosting a Meet & Greet alongside candidate for Michigan’s 32nd Senate District, Rebecca Amidon.

To end the day, Jocelyn joined Joseph McClusky, candidate for Michigan’s 86th House District, at a Meet & Greet in Holland.
