PRESS RELEASE

THREE DAYS LEFT: Jocelyn Benson Rallies Voters With South Asian Community Organizations

Yesterday, Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for Governor Jocelyn Benson rallied voters in Westland alongside Indian American Impact and SAATH—community organizations charged with mobilizing and empowering South Asian Michiganders.

In the final days before the election, Jocelyn is criss-crossing the state, and rallying Michiganders to vote for a Democratic trifecta that can work together to implement her vision of lower costs, higher wages, and getting corruption out of politics. Jocelyn knows every community across Michigan is feeling the pain of rising costs, stagnant wages, and economic chaos coming out of Washington, and she will get to work on day one to deliver relief.

“I know a thing or two about standing up to bullies. Which we also need the next governor to be able to do. It's not just about making sure our economy works for everyone, although that's critical. It's also about having the moral courage to stand up to anyone, anytime, anywhere who would interfere with your rights, your freedoms, your safety, your security, your privacy,” said Jocelyn Benson. “We need to make sure that citizens know that the choice facing them this fall is between a candidate—myself—for governor, who has a plan to lower costs, grow our economy, keep people safe, and work for you, versus my opponent who spent four years in Congress getting rich, raising prices on all of us, supporting tariffs and a war in Iran that have made costs go through the roof, and doing everything Donald Trump asks.”
