PRESS RELEASE

Benson Campaign Reserves $10 Million in Ad Time for General Election

Today, Jocelyn Benson’s campaign for governor announced it has reserved $10 million in air time starting in September – an eight-figure statewide investment that will carry Benson’s message of lowering costs, raising wages, and fighting corruption through the fall. The reservation underscores Benson’s commanding position ahead of tomorrow’s primary and solidifies her strong position in the general.

The news comes on the heels of the campaign’s record-breaking fundraising haul of $5 million since January that gives Benson the biggest general election war chest. Meanwhile, the Republican candidates spent months burning through millions of dollars to prove their loyalty to Donald Trump.

“Our $10 million ad buy is the latest sign of a campaign that is outworking the competition,” said Benson deputy campaign manager Alyssa Bradley. “Michigan voters are ready for a governor focused on lowering costs, raising wages, and fighting corruption, and we’re making sure they hear that message every step of the way.”
