In Lansing, Benson Tours New Affordable Housing Units, Shares Plan to Lower Costs for Michiganders
Today, Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson toured new affordable housing facilities in Lansing and shared her plan to drive down the cost of housing. During her visit at the Lansing Housing Commission, Benson toured two of their new buildings – the 220 Riverview Apartments and the Grand Vista Place Apartments.

“My goal as governor is to make Michigan the best place to call home. We do that by tackling the housing crisis and then ensuring once you're in that home, you can afford those energy bills, you can afford to drive, and everything else that you need to be able to make it in this state. So that's where I'm coming from. That's why I'm here today,” said Secretary Benson.
“It was great to have Secretary Benson here in Lansing today to see our new housing sites at the Lansing Housing Commission. We are excited to continue working with state and local leaders and other organizations to tackle the housing crisis and make life more affordable for Michiganders,” said Doug Fleming, Director of the Lansing Housing Commission.
