LAST RALLY: Jocelyn Benson Hammers Home Closing Message at UAW

Yesterday, Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for Governor Jocelyn Benson joined the rest of the Democratic ticket and UAW members at their election eve GOTV rally — marking the final rally of her gubernatorial campaign.

Over the past 20 months, Jocelyn has crisscrossed the state, building a grassroots coalition of union workers, educators, first responders, and other Michiganders who share Jocelyn’s vision of lower costs, higher wages, and ending corruption in Lansing. As the top of the ticket, Jocelyn spent the final weeks of her campaign rallying with downballot Democrats and mobilizing voters to reinstate a Democratic trifecta in Michigan, and today that work comes to fruition.

“Tomorrow, in this election, we're going to show that we are going to fight for democracy and we're going to win for democracy. That's what this election is going to be about. And the team you've heard from tonight, every single person who has spoken, this is team democracy,” said Jocelyn Benson. “And that is a sharp contrast to everyone who is running on the other side. And so, my friends, our job in these last final hours before the polls close tomorrow is to make sure that folks know that contrast. That they know the real choice facing them this fall is: who are your leaders going to fight for? The people or the powerful?”
