Today, Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson met with seniors at Gateshead Crossing and Dickerson Manor in Detroit to share her plans to lower costs and make life more affordable in Michigan.
“I’ve heard stories all across the state about seniors and families struggling with rising costs, especially those living on fixed incomes. We have a responsibility to do right by our seniors and ensure they can retire with dignity and still have enough to travel and visit their grandchildren, or pay for their medications,” said Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson. “That’s why I have plans as governor to lower costs on everything from housing, to healthcare, to utilities. Together, we can build a more affordable state, where you can thrive and watch your grandchildren grow up safe, happy, and close to home.”
