PRESS RELEASE

THREE DAYS LEFT: Winnie Brinks, Rep. Carol Glanville Rally Voters in Grand Rapids

Today, Senate Majority Leader and Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor Winnie Brinks joined Representative and candidate for State Senate Carol Glanville in Grand Rapids to rally voters and launch a final weekend of door knocking before the election.

In the final days of the campaign, the Benson-Brinks team has been campaigning with downballot Democrats in competitive districts, working together to share their message and elect a Democratic trifecta in Michigan. With strong partners and leaders at every level of government and in Lansing, the Benson-Brinks administration will get to work on day one to lower costs, raise wages, and end corruption.

“Folks know how important this seat is. They are stepping up. And you all are our ground game making sure voters know what they are voting for and what’s on the line,” said Rep. Carol Glanville. “We know what happens when we can get good people in government. We saw it when we had our trifecta with the biggest tax cut in Michigan's history, the biggest tax credit expansion for our working families, free breakfast and lunch, common sense gun control, restoring workers' rights, and women's rights. Let’s ride this all the way through Tuesday and let’s go win.”

“We can't take anything for granted this year. We have a lot to do and our state is in a critical moment. So we need to elect good leaders that are going to look out for the people of Michigan first,” said Winnie Brinks. “Our opponent in this race, John James, has shown that he answers to Trump every time — he is a cheerleader for things that have been very damaging to Michigan, like these incredibly expensive tariffs and the big, beautiful bill, making healthcare much more expensive and ripping it away from so many Michiganders. He is not putting Michigan first. He is not putting you first. He is not putting your neighbors and family members first.”
