PRESS RELEASE

Jocelyn Benson Launches “Driving Down Costs” Statewide Bus Tour Ahead of Election Day

October 22-25: Benson will crisscross Michigan to share her closing message of lowering costs, raising wages, and ending corruption

Today, the Benson for Governor campaign announced the “Driving Down Costs” statewide bus tour, launching October 22. Jocelyn will campaign alongside nearly every frontline House and Senate candidate as Democrats work to win a governing trifecta and deliver on their agenda to lower costs, raise wages, and end corruption. Joined by elected officials and special guests, she will bring that message directly to voters in 19 cities, making the case for a team that will put Michigan families first.

From Metro Detroit to Holland, Jocelyn will draw a clear contrast: she will be a governor who fights to lower costs, while John James puts politics and loyalty to Trump’s policies, including the “John James Tax” that has driven up costs, over Michiganders.

“I’m excited to hit the road and campaign alongside the candidates who are fighting for Michigan families in every corner of our state,” said Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for Governor Jocelyn Benson. “Michiganders want a government that works for them, with leaders focused on lowering costs, raising wages, and ending corruption. We’ve spent the last two years building a coalition ready to deliver on those priorities, and we’re going to run through the tape together.”
