Jocelyn Benson Announces Record-Breaking $10.8 Million Raised Since Campaign Launch

The campaign doubled its fundraising in 2026, raising nearly $5 million since January 

Today, Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson announced her campaign has raised $10.8 million since she launched – almost $4 million more than any other non-incumbent Democratic candidate for governor in Michigan history at this point in the cycle. Since the last fundraising deadline, the campaign has brought in nearly $5 million, including $3.2 million in the 58 days since the Independent candidate dropped out of the race, and has $6.4 million cash on hand. 

With over 75,000 individual contributions from all 83 counties in Michigan, 93% of contributions $100 or less, and no corporate PAC money, Jocelyn is heading into what is expected to be a historically expensive general election with a strong grassroots fundraising program and a proven record of delivering.

The fundraising announcement comes after recent polling shows Jocelyn leading the Democratic primary by 60 points and ahead of either extreme Republican in the general.
