Benson Shares Plans to Lower Costs, Raise Wages in Bay City

Yesterday, Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson shared her plans to lower costs and raise wages in Bay City during her statewide “Costs Down, Wages Up” tour.

The tour is taking Benson across Michigan, from the Detroit metro area to Cheboygan, to hear how rising costs are impacting people’s lives, and to share her affordability agenda that will put more money in Michiganders’ pockets. At every stop, she’s drawing a clear contrast: the choice between a governor who fights to lower costs, or Republicans who have put politics over Michigan families.

In Bay City, Jocelyn gathered with over 100 people at Kilkenny’s Irish Pub where she highlighted her plans to make Michigan the best place to build a life.

“It's so exciting to see all the energy here in Bay City for our campaign and for our ‘Costs Down, Wages Up’ tour that’s taking us across the state to share how we can tackle the affordability crisis head on,” said Secretary Benson during the event. “I think the primary job of the next governor of the state is to ensure we are driving down the cost of health care, electricity bills, housing, all the things that are going up, while also building wealth in this state, raising our wages, and making Michigan the best place to call home.”
